CARE

JEWELRY CARE
I take great pride in creating bold, durable designs, but they still require mindful care. While comfort is key in my designs, it's important to know when to remove your jewelry.

Generally, remove rings before weightlifting, exercising, or working with tools. I also recommend removing rings before applying lotion, as it can build up in engravings and dirty stones.
Remember, any metal harder than gold or platinum can scratch or mar your jewelry. Live your life—just maybe take your rings off before gardening or deadlifting 😊

While my pieces are bold and substantial, hand engraving is delicate. My celestial engravings are deep and designed to last, but over time, any gold jewelry will show signs of wear. This adds character and creates a unique texture as it ages.
My high-matte finish will evolve with wear, which is part of its beauty and individuality.

CLEANING
If using a jewelry cleaning solution, choose a gentle one—like this. Most of the time, hot (not boiling) water, dish soap, and a toothbrush—or even a clean mascara tester wand from any beauty counter —will do the trick. Soak your jewelry for 5–10 minutes, brush, and rinse.

Ultrasonic cleaners are effective but do not use them on emeralds, moonstone, tanzanite, or opals. Always read the cleaner’s instructions and avoid excessive use. Vibrations from these devices can loosen stones if used too often, so use with caution.

If your piece needs deeper cleaning, take it to a professional jeweler—or contact me at starr@piecesofstarr.com.
