The back of the ring is only *slightly* hollowed out so it has a night weight to it without being too heavy nor sharp hollow edges. I'm hyper obsessive about limiting hollowed out backs of rings and I avoid it as much as I can by taking out some metal weight but still being super comfy to not trap moisture in the hollow cavity.
